You’re an idiot, Sam Grobart.

Sam Grobart, New York Times:

…People look at an iPad and say, “I like it, but can I get one to replace my laptop? Even for just some of the time?” And the honest answer has always been, “No.”

This would be a fine sentence if it were written by some joe sixpack. But when it comes from the Personal Technology Editor for the New York Times, there’s only one response.

You’re an idiot, Sam Grobart.

There are myriad reports of people using the iPad not just as a laptop replacement “sometimes” but of many folks doing it for a large portion of the time. Saying anything else makes the writer look like…well…a Sam Grobart.

You’re an idiot, Sam Grobart.
