Hosts of ‘Car Talk’ to Retire After 35 Years of Automotive Banter
After 35 years of weekly broadcasts and some 12,500 calls, the wisecracking brothers announced on Friday that they are retiring. “As of October, we’re not going to be recording any more new shows,” Tom, 74, wrote in a CarTalk.com column written with Ray, 63, who added, “We’ve decided that it’s time to stop and smell the cappuccino.”
I don’t know a damn thing about cars – I assume there’s an engine under the hood but never bother to look to confirm – but whenever I got the chance, I listened to these two guys.

The horse-shittery of this article is astounding. Apple has a bad track record with software lately? The fuck? Siri was released in a test mode, Apple TOLD US THAT out loud for shit’s sake.
iMessage – no it’s not perfect but it’s damned impressive and nobody else has tech that can touch it. When iMessage fails, it reverts to text message and works fine. How many times has Blackberry Messenger (BBM) taken a shit? Don’t get me started on what happens when a Moose takes a dump on one of RIM’s pipes and everyone’s mother fucking electronic toast stops working entirely!
iCloud?! iCloud isn’t broken! Fuck you. We want it to do more, but it works just fucking fine.
iTunes Match – it works perfectly, RTFM before you get pissed off at Apple that you deleted all the music on your phone because your cable modem hadn’t uploaded all your Justin Bieber bootlegs to the cloud yet.

Apple is working on a new in-house application for iOS called “Organize,” but we’re not sure if Organize will be announced with iOS 6 at WWDC, or if it is a future App Store app from Apple, a future iOS enhancement, or something scrapped all together.

Why I love the Nikon D3s
Just got a Nikon D3s (sadly, not to keep but a rental to shoot WWDC). I know there are now “better” cameras out there but the rental price was good (considering it’s about $5k+ worth of body and lens) and I’ve used this rig often enough to be comfortable with it. But I especially love it for the images I’m able to get.
This was shot from 60ft away…from inside a restaurant…at night. The basket was hanging from a lamppost.
Even more amazing, the D3s has a usable ISO of 12,800 – that’s insanely low light and makes shots in dark bars and clubs a snap:
The two handsome gentleman above, Mike and Darby respectively, were both shot at ISO 12,800 in a nightclub in San Francisco.
